FAQ
How often is the data updated?
USGS gauges typically report about every 15 minutes. Each block shows the time of its own data, and blocks older than their limit are marked.
Why does a daily table row say partial day?
The mean is shown only when the day has at least 80% of the expected readings. Today is usually partial.
Why is there no percentile on some gauges?
A percentile needs USGS daily statistics for the date. Gauges without them show a dash.
Why are some blocks missing on a page?
A block appears only when its source returned usable data for that gauge. Nothing is shown in its place.
Is this a flood warning service?
No. Use official National Weather Service warnings for emergencies. No alert shown does not mean conditions are safe.
Which time zone are times in?
The gauge's local time zone, with the abbreviation shown.
